Roslyn, SD

Tomorrow morning my sister, mom and I are heading off to Roslyn, South Dakota. My dad has to stay home and work and because we are getting work done on the Monson family cabin, we are heading out early.

It has always been a thing that we go out to the lake on the 4th. Kind of like a tradition of getting together at Christmas. Usually my family and Grandma Dori go out. Becky (my aunt) her husband Jim, Deni, and Nic (when he isn't up in Alaska) come out most of the time. Nancy (another aunt) her sons Rudy and Chris (when he isn't in Washington) come out regularly also. Even though Lisa (one other aunt) and her husband Todd and their daughter Renae don't own part of the cabin they come out maybe once a year sometimes during the 4th. It is only my uncle Davey and his two daughters Tekla and Chisana that come out usually once a year because they live all the way up in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Well enough explanation of that, here are some pictures at the lake of my cousin Renae, Liz, and I last year to kind of get an idea of what I am talking about "being at the lake".

This is Ren-Ren (Lisa's kid) with Liz

Oh it's me getting a fire ready while looking at the paper that is going to start the fire.

This is a pic of Ren-Ren jumping in, at our cabin

Pickerel Lake WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(If you are wondering, I always end with a last line movie quote. So here it goes)

All right! Saddle up! Let's get back in the war!

A Lazy Wednesday

It has only been 1 week that I have been out of school! My school district was the last one to get out and i am so mad..... umm I think that that is a different topic to discuss. It is a Wednesday and I am sitting here on Liz's computer writing a blog and thinking about the sky. Liz is going crazy and yelling to me through a window, "LOOK AT THE SKY GRETCHEN! GRETCHEN!! GRETCHEN!!!" This is a normal day in my household. I am sitting here, Liz is going crazy, and mom isn't really paying attention to us.

Liz is babbling about dinner and something after it. I really don't pay attention to her that much. Like last night she explained the Lend-Lease Act, something about WWII but I am not sure because I wasn't paying attention.

My family is very interesting. I have a mom and a dad and a sister. They all are crazier then I am, though they say I am as much as they are. My mom's side of the family is the Monson side. They are the boisterous side. My dad's side of the family is the McNaughton family. They are the proper side that you can't really do anything crazy in, even though my grandpa likes to.I am actually visiting both of them this week with a pool party and then going to the lake cabin.

Well I better be going now because Liz is nagging me about getting off of her computer and I think that she is destroying my room! So goodbye, Mr. Chips. Goodbye.
